Lesson Learned this week: Talk to as many people you are connected to when you are doing a market research project. Did a phone interview with my organizational behavior professor last week and also with another faculty member this week. Their feedback has been tremendously valuable and even if they are not in the same industry, they might know someone, who knows someone who does. =)

Before anyone starts a project (internal/external), don't ever forget to ask why of the opportunity we are trying to identify. I've learned you have to ask why five times in order to get to the root of the issue. Same can translate to understanding objectives and opportunities. Without a clear understanding of the objectives, it is difficult to add value to the client.

We are making good strides in the last couple of days in our meetings. I am trying my best to keep everything organized. Discovered that Google Drive (Google Docs downloaded onto the desktop) is very convenient. It works like Dropbox but I like Google Drive as it connects everything to my google account.

I am very excited to be part of Social Folks consultant team as the project manager. During last week's O'Day, was sure great to meet all consultants and I was glad everyone liked my ice-breaker game and got a chance to learn interesting facts about everyone! This is a very diverse group, in terms of culture, background, experience and strengths, so I am sure working together will add great synergies. My general impression is that everyone is pretty passionate about the projects ahead and definitely a lot of variety of skill sets amongst us. I had the opportunity to chat with my group mates and they are all very well-rounded and talented individuals. I very excited to get started on this project and I am sure it will be an amazing experience for me.
